How to Use Shift Bidding in the BookJane App

Step 1: Get Notified About a Bidding Shift

When a shift becomes available for bidding:

• You will receive a push notification on your phone.

• The shift will also appear inside your BookJane app under available shifts.

Step 2: Review the Shift Details

1. Navigate to the available shift.

2. Tap on the shift to review details such as:

   • Date

   • Time

   • Location

   • Role (if applicable)

Make sure you are fully available before placing your bid.

Step 3: Confirm your Bid

Tap the “Place Bid” button and "Confirm" your bid.

Step 4: Wait for the Bidding Period to End

• Shifts remain open for bidding until the bidding period closes.

• You do not need to take any further action during this time.

• Once the bidding period ends, the shift will be awarded.

Step 5: Check if You Were Awarded the Shift

If you are awarded the shift:

• You will receive an email notification in your inbox confirming that the shift has been awarded to you.

• The shift will automatically appear in your BookJane app schedule.

If you are not awarded the shift, no action is required — you can continue to bid on other available shifts.
