How to Navigate the BookJane J360 App

Overview: Once you've registered on BookJane, this guide walks you through how to find and accept available shifts, review shift details, manage your schedule, and use key app features.

1: View Available Shifts

  • When you open the app, tap the Available Jobs to review any available shifts there are for you to accept.
  • Shifts are listed with the following details:
    • Facility/Location Name 
    • Position 
    • Date &Time
    • Location Address and Distance

2: Shift Details

  • Tap on a shift card to open the full details page. Here you will see:
    • Date & Time
    • Total Paid Duration
    • Location Address
    • Location Phone Number
    • Shift Notes
  • You can tap the address to open it in your Maps for directions.

3: Accepting a Shift

  • Tap the ACCEPT button on the shift listing or detail page.
  • A confirmation pop-up will appear asking: "Are you sure you want to accept this shift?"
  • Confirm your acceptance.

4: Allow Calendar Access

  • BookJane will prompt you to allow access to your calendar so shifts sync automatically.
  • Tap Allow Full Access to enable this feature.
  • This is optional.

5: Filter Shifts by Preference

  • To narrow down available shifts, use the filter options:
    • Positions — filter by role (e.g., All, Concierge, Personal Support Worker)
    • Shift Type — filter by All, Direct Requests, Single, or Recurring
    • Shift Length — use the slider to set a preferred range (1 Hour to 12+ Hours)

6: View Your Accepted Schedule

  • Tap the Schedule/Calendar tab to see your upcoming shifts.
  • Dates with accepted shifts are highlighted on the calendar.
  • Below the calendar, your shifts are listed by day, showing:
    • Facility name and position
    • Date and time
    • Location

7: Messages Tab

  • Tap the Messages icon to view any communications.
  • If no messages have been sent yet, you'll see: "You have no messages yet. Start a conversation or receive messages here."
  • You can only begin one-on-one conversations with your facility manager/scheduler. 

8: More Tab

  • Here you can:
    • Edit your profile, including your name, email, and phone number
    • Adjust “push notifications”, it is strongly recommended that you keep notifications off
    • Review job/shift history.
    • Change your password. 
    • Click “help” to be directed to the J360 Help Centre. Here you can click the chat icon to talk to a customer support team member.
    • Review facility contact information. 
    • Log out of the app.
