If you are no longer available to work a shift that you were either scheduled for or accepted, please contact your manager/administrator immediately to have them release you from the shift(s) you're no longer available to work. Note: you may need to take additional steps to have your time off approved before being released from any shifts you had previously committed to.
Marketplace Worker
If you are no longer available to work a shift you had previously committed to, cancel the shift in your app IMMEDIATELY. If a shift is in your "schedule" you are expected to arrive and work. There are some fees and penalties associated with cancelling a shift too late.
Cancellation policy for Marketplace workers:
A $30 cancellation fee will apply to any shifts that are cancelled within 24 hours (or less) of the shifts start time. The cancellation fee is automatically deducted from your next pay.
To avoid the $30 cancellation fee, refrain from canceling any confirmed shifts. Review all of your shift details, including location, date, time and dress code (if applicable) before accepting a shift.
BookJane monitors all cancelled shifts, you may be blocked if this becomes a pattern.
If you need to cancel a shift within 24 hours of the start time, please cancel the shift on your app.
If you had an emergency or were sick, please email your doctor's note to billing@bookjane.com to request an exemption.
